At Tactical Rounds, customer satisfaction, order accuracy, safety, and legal compliance are important to us. This Refund & Returns Policy explains how returns, exchanges, cancellations, refunds, damaged shipments, firearm transfers, ammunition orders, and restricted products are handled.

1. General Return Policy

Because Tactical Rounds sells firearms, ammunition, and regulated products, not all items are eligible for return.

Eligible non-regulated products may be returned within 8 days of delivery if they are:

  • New and unused
  • In original packaging
  • Complete with all parts, manuals, labels, and accessories
  • Not damaged, altered, installed, mounted, fired, or modified
  • Approved in advance through our return authorization process

Returns sent without prior approval may be refused or returned to the customer.

2. Items That Are Not Eligible for Return

For safety, compliance, and product integrity reasons, the following items are generally final sale and may not be returned unless required by law or approved by Tactical Rounds:

  • Ammunition
  • Firearms that have been transferred to the buyer
  • Firearms that have been fired, altered, damaged, or modified
  • Special-order items
  • Clearance or final-sale items
  • Opened cleaning chemicals, oils, or solvents
  • Used magazines or firearm parts
  • Installed accessories
  • Personal protective items
  • Products missing original packaging or serial-number information
  • Items restricted by law from being shipped back

If an item is final sale, this may also be stated on the product page, checkout page, invoice, or order confirmation.

3. Firearm Returns

Firearm returns are handled differently from standard merchandise.

Before Transfer

If a firearm has arrived at your selected FFL dealer but has not yet been transferred to you, a return may be possible with prior approval from Tactical Rounds.

The customer may be responsible for:

  • Return shipping charges
  • FFL transfer or handling fees
  • Carrier fees
  • Restocking fees
  • Any fees charged by the receiving FFL dealer

After Transfer

Once a firearm has been transferred to the buyer by the FFL dealer, the sale is generally final.

After transfer, any warranty, defect, repair, or service issue should usually be handled through the firearm manufacturer, unless Tactical Rounds approves another solution in writing.

Failed Background Check or Denied Transfer

If you do not pass the required background check, are denied by the receiving FFL dealer, fail to provide required documentation, or are otherwise unable to complete the transfer, the firearm cannot be released to you.

In that situation, Tactical Rounds may approve a return if legally and logistically possible. The customer may be responsible for:

  • Return shipping
  • Original shipping costs
  • FFL fees
  • Restocking fees
  • Payment processing fees where permitted
  • Any additional compliance or handling costs

Tactical Rounds reserves the right to refuse future orders from customers who cannot complete required firearm transfers.

4. Ammunition Returns

Ammunition is generally not returnable.

Due to safety, storage, shipping, and compliance concerns, Tactical Rounds does not accept returns on ammunition unless:

  • The wrong ammunition was shipped due to our error
  • The ammunition was damaged before delivery
  • A return is required by applicable law
  • Tactical Rounds approves the return in writing

Do not attempt to ship ammunition back without written authorization. Ammunition must be shipped according to all applicable carrier and hazardous-material rules.

5. Accessories, Gear & Non-Regulated Products

Eligible accessories and gear may be returned within 20 days of delivery if approved by Tactical Rounds.

Examples of products that may be eligible include:

  • Unused range bags
  • Unopened cleaning kits
  • Uninstalled accessories
  • Unused storage cases
  • Apparel or soft goods in new condition
  • Other non-regulated merchandise approved by support

Returned items must be complete, unused, and in resalable condition.

6. Return Authorization Required

All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization, also called an RMA, before the item is shipped back.

  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • Product name
  • Reason for return
  • Photos if the item is damaged, incorrect, or defective
  • FFL information if the return involves a firearm

If approved, we will provide return instructions. Approval of a return request does not guarantee a refund until the item is received, inspected, and confirmed eligible.

7. Damaged Shipments

Inspect your shipment immediately upon delivery.

If your order arrives damaged:

  1. Do not use the product.
  2. Keep all packaging, labels, boxes, and packing materials.
  3. Take clear photos of the damaged product and shipping box.
  4. Contact Tactical Rounds within 8 days of delivery.

Failure to report shipping damage within the required timeframe may limit our ability to file a carrier claim or provide a replacement.

If the package appears severely damaged at delivery, you may refuse the shipment and contact us immediately.

8. Incorrect Items

If you receive the wrong item, contact us within 8 days of delivery.

Do not open, use, install, fire, modify, or transfer the item. We may request photos of the product, packaging, serial number, UPC, shipping label, or invoice to verify the issue.

If the error was caused by Tactical Rounds, we will provide instructions for correction, replacement, refund, or return where legally possible.

9. Defective Products

If a product appears defective, contact us before using it.

Depending on the item, defect claims may be handled by:

  • Tactical Rounds
  • The manufacturer
  • The warranty provider
  • The shipping carrier
  • The receiving FFL dealer, where applicable

Many firearms, optics, accessories, and equipment products are covered by manufacturer warranties. Tactical Rounds may direct customers to the manufacturer for warranty service after delivery or transfer.

10. Order Cancellations

Cancellation requests must be made as soon as possible.

An order may be canceled if it has not yet been processed, packed, shipped, transferred, or submitted for fulfillment. Once processing begins, cancellation may not be available.

Cancelled orders may be subject to:

  • Restocking fees
  • Payment processing fees where permitted
  • Special-order cancellation fees
  • FFL or compliance processing fees
  • Shipping fees if the order has already been shipped

Tactical Rounds reserves the right to cancel any order that cannot legally be completed.

11. Shipping Delays & Unavailable Items

We work to ship orders within the timeframe stated on the website or during checkout. If no specific shipping timeframe is provided, sellers covered by the FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule generally need a reasonable basis to expect they can ship within 30 days, and if shipment is delayed beyond the promised time, the seller must obtain the buyer’s consent to the delay or issue a refund for unshipped merchandise.

If an item becomes unavailable after purchase, Tactical Rounds may offer:

  • A refund
  • A replacement item
  • Store credit, where permitted
  • A delayed shipment option, if accepted by the customer

12. Restocking Fees

Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of 15%.

Restocking fees may apply to:

  • Firearms returned before transfer
  • Special-order products
  • Refused shipments
  • Orders returned due to incorrect customer information
  • Orders returned due to failed transfer, denied background check, or legal ineligibility
  • Products returned without all original materials

Restocking fees are deducted from the refund amount.

13. Shipping Costs

Original shipping costs are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to an error by Tactical Rounds.

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless otherwise approved in writing.

For regulated products, return shipping must comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and carrier requirements. Do not ship firearms, ammunition, or regulated products back without written instructions from Tactical Rounds.

14. Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

If an order is refused, abandoned, returned to sender, or undeliverable because of incorrect customer information, customer refusal, failure to complete required steps, or legal restrictions, the customer may be responsible for:

  • Original shipping
  • Return shipping
  • Carrier fees
  • Restocking fees
  • FFL fees
  • Payment processing fees where permitted
  • Any other costs incurred by Tactical Rounds

Refunds for refused or undeliverable shipments are not guaranteed and will be reviewed case by case.

15. Refund Processing

Once an approved return is received and inspected, we will notify you whether the refund is approved or denied.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless another method is required or approved.

Refund timing may vary depending on:

  • Payment processor timelines
  • Bank processing times
  • Product inspection
  • Carrier claim review
  • Compliance review
  • FFL return processing

Refunds may take 14 business days after approval to appear in your account.

16. Exchanges

Exchanges may be available for eligible non-regulated items.

Firearms, ammunition, special-order items, clearance products, and regulated items are generally not eligible for exchange unless approved by Tactical Rounds in writing.

If an exchange is approved, the original item must be returned, inspected, and accepted before the replacement is shipped.

17. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Customers should contact Tactical Rounds before filing a payment dispute or chargeback.

Filing a chargeback does not cancel firearm transfer obligations, shipping fees, FFL fees, or other costs already incurred. Tactical Rounds reserves the right to provide order documentation, tracking records, communication history, and policy terms to the payment processor or financial institution.

18. Compliance Review

All returns, refunds, cancellations, and exchanges are subject to compliance review.

Tactical Rounds may refuse a return, refund, exchange, or cancellation if:

  • The transaction cannot legally be reversed
  • The item cannot legally be shipped back
  • The item was transferred, fired, altered, or used
  • The product is restricted in the customer’s location
  • The customer provided inaccurate information
  • The return request appears fraudulent or abusive
  • The product is final sale
  • The return would violate applicable law or carrier rules

19. Policy Changes

Tactical Rounds may update this Refund & Returns Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
